Introduction

This Spirit Success Report from Halloran Software's AstrolDeluxe ReportWriter program draws upon 576 paragraphs which interpret the places of the planets at the time of your birth, describing your personal houses, sign placements, and planetary aspects.

These astrological delineations depict your potential and how to make the most of it, or the challenges you will continue to face and how to confront and benefit from them. Though you may change through experience, your inherent characteristics will still motivate how you act and react to circumstances. How you handle yourself is really a clue to your success, and it is up to you to make the "right" choices.

Here are the parts which make up your chart:

HOUSES: Govern sections of your life, e.g., your money, your health, your partners, etc. They are also meaningful as to where your early interests lie and if they are worth pursuing.

SIGNS: Contribute feelings or vibrations to "color" planets, e.g., MERCURY rules GEMINI and VIRGO and emphasizes their qualities of thought, travel, health, and work. JUPITER rules SAGITTARIUS and higher education, spiritual growth, and law.

ASPECTS: Are angles combining the planets in the SIGNS/HOUSES that trigger the manner in which you will be influenced or can handle your qualities to advantage, e.g., MERCURY (thought) TRINE (in good aspect to) JUPITER (education and law) may indicate that you can succeed as a counselor in legal matters.

A "Strength" number precedes each ASPECT interpretation towards the end of the reading. This number synthesizes how exact is the aspect, whether the aspect is major or minor, and whether an aspecting planet is close to one of the four chart angles. The higher the Strength, the more you are likely to feel the aspect and to live it out in your life.

You are most likely to feel and act out the Spirit Success Report's sign and house placement interpretations when the planets involved are strong in your chart. This is true especially of the outer planets, Jupiter through Pluto. The Astrodynes program, also available from Halloran Software, calculates the respective power and harmony of all the planets in your chart.

Planets in Signs and Houses

Sagittarius Ascendant

(The Forthright)

Your most outstanding quality is your cheerfulness, even in the face of adversity. Your friendly grin is always ready, open, and happily infectious. You think and speak rapidly. It's hard to stay angry with you, since your charm outweighs your lack of diplomacy, but the bluntness of your words can be detrimental to your success. Try to practice patience, tact and discretion, as in the axiom: "If you can't say anything worthwhile or pleasant, don't say it at all!"

HSpirit2.gif (2677 bytes)

Sun in Virgo

(Keynote: I ANALYZE)

You are practical, modest, thoughtful and discriminating. You can be critical, withdrawn, narrow, and tend to worry too much, particularly about your health. You are hard to know because you are cool and reserved, but are a fine teacher, with an aptitude for figures, an ability to evaluate accurately, and an abundance of knowledge. Your sense of responsibility assures the most tedious task will be finished promptly and precisely. Your dry wit is often unexpected and appreciated, but when it turns to biting sarcasm can make even your best friends wish you'd stayed at home!

Sun in the Ninth House

(The Professor)

Your thirst for learning extends beyond the classroom. You acquire much of your knowledge from people of different cultures or in foreign lands. You probably have a flair for languages, making you valuable as a translator. It is possible you will earn more than one academic degree, and function as a teacher. One of your most admirable qualities is that, by touching the lives of others, you will come to understand that all men are brothers, separated only by self-imposed restrictions. Share your wisdom to overcome prejudice and the bigotry which impedes the spiritual growth of all.

HSpirit3.gif (2502 bytes)

Moon in Taurus

(The Conservative)

Your emotions are stable, giving you a positive outlook and a belief that you are responsible for your own happiness. You are ambitiously-materialistic and like to associate with successful people. You have a good rapport with most women. You probably have a pleasant speaking or singing voice, which you may utilize in a career, but must be careful of infections or tensions which can produce serious throat problems. This is particularly true if you encounter rebuffs, since you tend to be possessive and do not take rejection well. You may express suppressed frustrations on a physical plane.

Moon in the Sixth House

(Les Miserables)

A devotion to duty, when coupled with the psychological impact of feeling "used", can result in what can only be termed a "martyr complex." Because you are serious by nature, you will allow, and even insist on bearing the impositions of others; then fretting over your oppressions until you make yourself ill. Learn to know what is your package, and then how to balance it so that it becomes not a BURDEN, but a steadying agent as you approach maturity.

Mercury in Virgo

(The Interpreter)

You read people well and have an insight that is valuable in all types of relationships. Your interest in health can lead towards promoting natural ways of improvement in diet and disciplined exercise. If your efforts go unappreciated, you may become hypercritical and distance people with a superior attitude. You are a tireless worker and once committed, will spend a lifetime at a task requiring painstaking application, which others would consider monotonous.

Mercury in the Ninth House

(The Traveler)

Life is an endlessly fascinating journey, which you explore as a true adventurer. Your strong desire to advance your education gives you unique talents as a linguist, and you easily adapt to unfamiliar surroundings. Your high ideals can inspire others to their own spiritual development. You are a citizen of the universe. You may choose a career which employs your gifts for writing, lecturing or preaching so others may know what you have enjoyed and now value most.

Venus in Virgo

(The Unappreciated)

Your feelings are vulnerable to the slights of others. Perhaps in retaliation, you have a tendency to overanalyze and criticize any partners in your life. You may also invite those whose standards are not your own, thereby giving you an opportunity for such censure. Use the discretion you employ in business to choose someone who will appreciate your fine qualities of selectivity and is able to expose the sympathetic nature you bury beneath the cool exterior you present.

Venus in the Ninth House

(The Idealist)

Your love of learning and sharing knowledge is almost certain to draw you to foreign lands. You may even choose a career as a diplomat and live abroad. Every man is your brother. Every life you touch stimulates your desire to reach a higher level of spiritual being. You benefit mankind by using your experience to educate the masses. You are not a REVOLUTIONIST, but an EVOLUTIONIST, gathering means to feed a starving universe with fruits of your knowledge.

Mars in Cancer

(The Pressure Cooker)

You will harbor resentments from childhood, and many of them stem from a rebellion against a mother-figure. You may try to run away from imposed values with which you may not agree, but find you still have a need for the security of a home and family. Discover early that you must earn the right to be your "own" person. A certain amount of parental help is necessary as a fledgling discovers its wings. Professional counseling may be advisable before you "blow your top!"

Mars in the Eighth House

(The Broker)

An inner knowledge fits you to deal with people on the most basic of levels. Through human encounter, you will continually change your life patterns, if not your goals. Others will trust you to handle their ideas, personal conflicts and their money. It is up to you to find ways to encourage the expansion of your associates and their assets in an objective manner without forcing an egoistic view of your personal evolution upon them.

Jupiter in Scorpio

(The Investor)

You may manage other people's time and money successfully. Your keen intuition and bent for speculation can help you create your own dynasty. You're apt to over-do or become self-indulgent. Make "moderation" your watchword to avoid unfortunate side-effects which can impair your health and rob you of the rewards of the charmed life you lead.

Jupiter in the Twelfth House

(The Good Samaritan)

You enjoy doing good works anonymously and receive pleasure from knowledge that you benefit others. You may choose programs of institutional reform or a career in medicine to indulge your charitable work. Through acts of mercy, you feed your soul and will find numerous ways to swell your spirit.

Saturn in Leo

(The Haughty)

You may have trouble in sharing all the love you have to give or finding the love you crave, and so allow an "I don't care" attitude to become a mask, under which you hide your true feelings. You can also substitute imperiousness for emotional rapport and again deny your basic needs. Try to go with the world instead of against it. You may find a way to turn your negatives positive and enjoy the spin instead of just becoming dizzy and wanting to get off.

Saturn in the Ninth House

(The Thinker)

You probably have the self-confidence usually born of long experience, no matter your age. Your powers of concentration enable you to absorb the essentials of life in great chunks. A career in law may satisfy your sense of justice. However, inherent knowledge may preclude the experience to utilize it. If your viewpoint seems narrow, look for ways to augment it. Like the Bluebird, you may find them waiting in your own back yard.

Uranus in Gemini

(The Clairvoyant)

Your facility to see clearly where others are perplexed separates you from the norm. You may obtain an education in unorthodox ways, but have the ability to distinguish yourself in the field of science, perhaps in space technology. Your "Buck Rogers" mentality will bring you some regard, but also can provoke criticism as being too eccentric to be practical. You may find a way to jar humanity from today's complaisant rut and into the expansive future of tomorrow.

Uranus in the Seventh House

(The Dancer)

You attract unusual partners. Like a child at a masquerade ball, you frolic through relationships, sometimes ignoring commitments. Circumstances in which you enter your associations will be in constant flux, requiring you to cope and mature. You may feel helpless to do so. Then, rely on past experiences to guide you. Apply success patterns to present circumstances, or, if you have been unsuccessful in the past, try to correct your actions.

Neptune in Libra

(The Influenced)

You are subject to peer pressure which may not always serve your best interests. Because you are an idealist, you may be drawn into causes that are without substance. You seldom attempt anything alone, and prefer groups to a partner. If your dreams don't interfere with the reality of a material world, you can inspire others to adopt altruistic ways of living. It is your belief that what we have is not as important as our willingness to share it.

Neptune in the Tenth House

(The Bewildered)

As if establishing goals for career and initiating a life course were not difficult enough, before you complete your education, you may despair of fitting into ANY role you have chosen. Rather than change WHAT you are doing, try to discover if you are realistic about your potential and the manner in which you apply yourself. If you need the advice of a counselor, choose one who does not deal with abstractions, but can suggest a practical means of achieving success.

Pluto in Leo

(The Agitated)

Your ability to keep things at a fever pitch needs careful regulating to avoid constant upheaval in your life and the lives of others. Your senses are keen. Use them to recognize a need for transforming human affairs. Take your place in bettering your environment by helping others to better theirs. It is preferable to accept the accolades of your peers for your good work than to indulge the self-aggrandizement negatively associated with your sign.

Pluto in the Eighth House

(The Rejuvenator)

Your life is one of constant change, as though you are living several lifetimes in one. Your gifts of intuition and an ability to restore to advantage when things fall apart are in your favor. You can usually see beneath the surface of any situation, which gives you a decided edge, but try to avoid circumstances which put someone else in the driver's seat. You can look forward to each transforming experience which usually announces a period of spiritual growth.

Libra Midheaven

You will do best in a career which makes use of your social skills and which allows you to appeal to popular tastes. You have an in-born sense of beauty and proportion which could lead to a career in the arts. Friendliness and social poise are important to you, so that you would make a good diplomat or agent. A partner may play an important role in your career.

Not impulsive, you strive towards a fair assessment of every situation. You can help others to see the many different choices available, in such fields as communications, publishing, advertising, teaching, politics, or therapy. With your love of variety and social interaction, you have a wide picture, but not a deep picture. If you are not successful in your career, it will be because you use your charm to avoid work, or are too indecisive, superficial, or pleasure-loving. Have confidence in your own judgment and do not become overly dependent on other people.

Occupations consistent with your aesthetic style of work include public relations, architect, artist, musician, diplomat, designer, theatrical agent, builder, planner, strategist, arbitrator, or social commentator. For the most personal career guide, also consider the nature of any planets which fall in the 10th house or conjoin the Midheaven, the sign and house placements of Venus, ruler of the Midheaven, and any aspects which other planets make to the Midheaven.

North Node in Taurus

(The Conscientious)

You are aware of the values of society and surround yourself with obvious signs of wealth and propriety. Still, you fret that you fail to impress others with your exemplary image. Such pretense is unnecessary. You are not judged by what you have, but who you are. Like the prodigal son, yours are the riches of the universe and are free for the asking.

North Node in the Sixth House

(The Healer)

You must overcome your fear of the unknown before your restorative powers become evident. At times, your own physical ailments and surprising recoveries will call attention to your gifts until you are confident to explore and refine them. Acknowledgment of your own self-worth is repayment for the years granted to serve your fellow man.

Planets in Aspect

Sun conjunct Venus (Strength: 06.13)

(The Socialite)

You are refined and cultured with a love of the arts and beautiful things. Because a day without fun is depressing, you make yourself attractive and available and are usually where something entertaining is going on. You can become self-indulgent and conceited, believing money and looks will take you farther than is reasonable, but when you see that "Pretty is as Pretty does," will try to develop inner qualities to complement the glamorous image you project.

Mercury sextile Jupiter (Strength: 03.50)

(The Far-sighted)

Your attention is on your own desires and how to fulfill them. You want to know your purpose in the scheme of things and will explore all possibilities. In acquiring self-understanding you recognize the importance of relationships. While you are capable of standing on your own feet, you choose to interact with others, knowing that supportive friends can help attain your goals. Your life can be one of learning, expansion and fulfillment. You have only to choose the way.

Saturn conjunct Pluto (Strength: 03.44)

(The Penny-saver)

Thrift is important to you. You can just feel deprived, or aspire to become a super-achiever, as you overcome poverty of spirit, affection or financial needs. You will learn to value money, manage and multiply it. At about age fourteen, you will begin to see the results of your early efforts. It is possible to go from rags to riches. Avoid a narrow or workaholic regimen that offers security but can cause you to lose sight of potentials that promise greater fulfillment.

Moon opposite Jupiter (Strength: 03.28)

(The Double Standard)

You are a sharing, caring person, but resist being led or forced to accept circumstances not of your choosing. You may even feel partnerships should not limit your personal freedom. On the other hand, you may be demanding of others because they "owe" you, or just because they care for you. Consider why you have these feelings. You may solidify relationships by agreeing to a more equitable arrangement of "give and take" or drop commitments that are less than worthwhile.

Sun sextile Mars (Strength: 02.98)

(The Expeditor)

Use your energies to accomplish your tasks in the most judicious manner. You are not likely to go unnoticed. Your object will be the successful completion of anything you undertake rather than satisfaction of your ego, so you work well with others and make use of their input. Your self-confidence inspires respect of your judgment. Should you find resistance, you will overcome it with logic and prudence rather than aggressiveness and domination.

Venus sextile Mars (Strength: 02.85)

(The Flirt)

You are a fun-lover and like to be where the people are. Most will appreciate your effervescent personality and delight in your company. You are usually ready for anything social and don't mind paying your way. In relationships, you expect a 50-50 "give and take" balance. You are attracted to and know how to call yourself to the attention of the opposite sex at an early age. In your later years, you will still "have what it takes" to indulge your passion for romance.

Moon trine Mercury (Strength: 02.78)

(The Synchronizer)

You are in touch with yourself and your needs which affords you a state of balance. Because you are at peace, you are able to accomplish tasks with a minimum of bother, and express clearly and concisely so that others accept your ideas and grant your requests. You may travel or communicate with people impulsively, because "something tells you" to do so. Flashes of this same intuition are useful in divining the needs of others and fulfilling them before you are asked.

Mercury square Uranus (Strength: 01.22)

(The Pressured)

You seem constantly "under the gun" to produce creative ideas associated with your quick and innovative mind. You may be clear as to your intent, but too original for others to accept your proposals. You long to get away from it all but travel can be stressful because of unexpected delays and interruptions. Try to scale your concepts so that others can understand them. Experience will prove what is acceptable or so radical that it must be shelved for another time.

Jupiter square Saturn (Strength: 00.84)

(The Wary)

You are much like the old song that complains: "You have a feeling that you wanna go -- then, you wanna stay -- but you gotta go!" You have an urge to expand or break away from restrictions, but may be overly careful -- as if you never feel you have what it takes to succeed, so are a perpetual student instead of a graduate in the school of life. You may set modest goals, unworthy of your higher potential. Faith in yourself will prepare you for the success you can achieve.

Neptune conjunct Midheaven (Strength: 00.77)

(The Lotus)

You may be confused as to what your life is about and how to direct it. You are a dreamer, inclined to mystical, rather than physical practices. You may examine eastern philosophies where the elevation of the soul is valued above bodily needs, or minister, selflessly, to the unfortunates of the world, without acclaim or reward. Your purpose must be to alleviate the suffering of mankind. Like any pioneer dedicated to a cause, you may give your life for it.

Mars square Neptune (Strength: 00.26)

(The Smoke Screen)

You often deal from weakness instead of the real strength you possess, or hide behind the mask of a bully or someone too idealistic to be practical. You fear if others see the "real" you, they will not appreciate your very worthwhile qualities and take advantage. Stop playing games if you wish to succeed in relationships. Decide to face issues honestly, or enlist the proper support to assist you over the hurdles and keep you on the straight course you must travel to achieve success.

Balance of Elements and Modalities

Abundant Earth

You are in touch with the real world. More than others, you know where the rubber meets the road; persistent study has shown you how to make things happen in a practical sort of way. Your nature is well-suited to the adult world of responsibilities, which you master at a young age. Not impulsive with your resources, you would only start a business after careful study, but you would manage it well. You enjoy the satisfaction that comes not just from starting projects, but from finishing them. Your steady, organized approach is actually more productive in the long-run than is that of the quick, flashy types. You know how to establish a pace and keep it.

Do not let your awareness of the material world make you unappreciative of the spiritual plane that underpins our life here -- to which others may be more sensitive than you. Practicality is fine, but try to understand that dreams, feelings, and enthusiasms are also important and should not be squelched. Others might surprise you with what their optimistic risk-taking is able to achieve. You can be so cautious and reserved that some people find you conservative and dull. If you yourself become bored or depressed, admit that security isn't everything and try to be more spontaneous. Open up to the new and follow your bliss (in a careful sort of way).

Lack of Water

For you the world of feelings may be terra incognita. Close interpersonal relations, which require the expression of feelings, and empathy for others' feelings, do not come naturally or easily for you. You have difficulty putting yourself in someone else's shoes in order to feel what they feel. You will learn how to deal with life in a tough, mental sort of way. People looking for someone to empathize with them should not come to you. Those people who are comfortable with you are not looking for emotional closeness. It's not that you don't have emotions and feelings, but they do not come out easily in your relationships. If you are an artist, they may come out in your art. You probably take refuge from the difficulty of forming emotional connections by concentrating on intellectual, practical, or inspired activity. Your best companions would be those who are able to inhabit these realms with you, but who are also in touch with their feelings. They can help you to contact your own feelings and teach you to respect and honor other people's feelings.

A lack of planets in Water signs can be offset by a Water sign ascendant or by abundant planets in the houses of Endings.

Lack of Air

Expressing yourself does not come easily to you. You distrust people who are fast, smooth talkers. It may be easier for you to express yourself nonverbally or in writing than it is through speaking. If you also lack planets in the houses of Relationships, you will find the normal avenues of communication and social learning blocked. Your thinking will be personal instead of detached or rational. With the mind's normal communication channels blocked, you learn primarily from experience. Lacking in the ability to view yourself objectively, you gain self-understanding primarily through feedback from others.

Try to see life less personally, in a more objective way. Take classes and never stop educating yourself.

A lack of planets in Air signs can be offset by an Air sign ascendant or by abundant planets in the houses of Relationships.

Abundant Life

Abundant planets in the houses of life gives you both the energy and the urge to create the future. By your activities, you make the world a better place. You may be somewhat self-centered, but with your crusading spirit you move the world towards the ideals that you envision.

Lack of Relationships

Relating to other people probably plays a minor role in your life. You could remain unmarried, be a loner, or even be an orphan. Your thinking is probably subjective or personal, without the objectivity that comes from having communicated with many people. Let others teach you by showing you and if they give you any feedback on your thinking, see if you can learn from it.

A lack of planets in the houses of Relationships can be offset by abundant planets in Air signs.

Abundant Mutable

With an abundance of planets in Mutable signs, you adapt easily to changing circumstances. Mentally quick, you adapt like a chameleon to give each what they want, until you are on to the next friend or interest. Life offers a succession of roles to play. Skilled at diplomacy and compromise, you make a good negotiator and appear to be everyone's friend. You actually are other-oriented, rather than self-oriented, and can be so busy meeting others' needs that you lack direction in your own life. Concentrate on finding friends of true worth and value. Be discriminating in your associations, in whom you choose to help. The endless flow from your mind, tongue, and hands will then work to return real value to you, which is what you deserve. You can probably only follow this advice just so far, though, because more than others the Universe sends you people in need, people for whom you are able to make a real difference. The assistance that you provide to the powerless may actually be remembered long after your facile mental output is forgotten. Your activities can also bring an end to institutions that have outlived their usefulness.

Lack of Cardinal

With a lack of planets in Cardinal signs, you may have trouble starting things. You may be timid about developing and carrying out plans. You would prefer to let others break the first ground of a new venture, so that you can pitch in and help once the outlines of the venture are clear. You probably lack confidence in your mastery of the real world and survival in it. You may substitute a rich inner life for your lack of action in the outer world. In its highest form, you may be unusually creative or spiritually committed. Ideas filter up as you focus on 'being' instead of 'doing'. Watch out for the lower manifestations, which are delegating tasks to others and pitying yourself over the lot that befalls you in life as a result of your lack of direction and initiative. Your different perspective on life gives you valuable insights that let you make real contributions wherever you are.

A lack of planets in the Cardinal signs can be offset by a Cardinal sign ascendant or by abundant planets in the Angular houses.

Abundant Cadent

An abundance of planets in the cadent houses helps to make you versatile and adaptable. You are flexible in your plans, adapting easily to changes or to the people whom you meet. You may travel a lot or move frequently. You are a good listener and communicator. You will use your mind a lot or frequently spend time alone during your life.

Lack of Succedent

A lack of planets in succedent houses gives you a certain emotional detachment. You do not pay much attention to the pleasures of the body or to cultivating a particular group of friends. Enjoying life is not the most important thing to you. You act not on the basis of feeling or principle, but from necessity. You tend to be a restless wanderer of either the world or the mind.

A lack of planets in the Succedent houses can be offset by abundant planets in the Fixed signs.

Lack of Angular

A lack of planets in the angular houses indicates little desire or drive for recognition. You adapt to the world instead of trying to change it or make your mark upon it. You concentrate on enjoying life and find ways to help others that do not call attention to yourself.

A lack of planets in the Angular houses can be offset by abundant planets in the Cardinal signs.
